CAPABILITIES & INTERESTS

CREATIVE DISCIPLINES &
VISUAL PRACTICES.

An overview of creative capabilities, experimental design interests, and iterative workflows developed through coursework at PSB Academy, Singapore and self-directed explorations.

AREA 01 Graphic Design

01 — Graphic Design

Creating visual concepts, compositions, and communication pieces that combine clarity with a distinctive visual identity.

FOCUS: Editorial systems, Swiss grids, poster design, typographic hierarchy, and print layouts.
AREA 02 Branding & Visual Identity

02 — Branding and Visual Identity

Exploring brand direction through typography, colour systems, visual language, and consistent design applications.

FOCUS: Logomarks, design tokens, color guidelines, identity manuals, and brand stationery.
AREA 03 Poster and Layout Design

03 — Poster and Layout Design

Crafting expressive typographic posters, multi-column print grids, publication spreads, and structured editorial hierarchies.

FOCUS: Swiss International typography, modular layout grids, publication design, and visual pacing.
AREA 04 Motion Graphics

04 — Motion Graphics

Bringing static visuals to life through movement, timing, easing curves, and animated kinetic typography.

FOCUS: Kinetic text, graph editor easing, title sequences, logo animation, and loop posters.
AREA 05 Animation

05 — Animation

Exploring traditional and digital animation principles, frame rates, anticipation, spatial momentum, and dynamic object transformations.

FOCUS: 12 principles of animation, 2D vector interpolation, spatial acceleration, and character/object arcs.
AREA 06 Video Editing

06 — Video Editing

Shaping visual narratives through editing, pacing, match cuts, color grading, and sound-aware storytelling.

FOCUS: Premiere Pro cutting, match-cuts, temporal rhythm, color grading LUTs, and audio sync.

METHODOLOGY

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

DISCOVER → CONCEPT → DESIGN → REFINE → DELIVER

STEP 01

DISCOVER

Understanding the brief, researching visual references, defining constraints, and identifying target audiences.

STEP 02

CONCEPT

Rapid thumbnail sketching, mind-mapping, moodboards, and exploring multiple unexpected visual angles.

STEP 03

DESIGN

Translating sketches into digital software: building modular grids, type hierarchies, color sets, and motion paths.

STEP 04

REFINE

Critical peer feedback, easing curve adjustments, kerning review, contrast testing, and eliminating clutter.

STEP 05

DELIVER

Exporting high-fidelity renders, organizing production files, documenting design rationales, and archiving assets.
